Plans for 2008

As we hurry and scurry towards Christmas I invite you to take a moment to look beyond the Holydays into the new year. I invite you to join me and our church family as we read through the New Testament together in 2008.

The daily reading will be about one chapter a day from the Bible. We will have reading assignments for Monday thru Friday with Saturdays used as a day to catch up and Sundays set aside for study of what we have read together. I will be writing here on my daily reading and I invite your input. We will also have several discussion groups around our area during the week and I will focus my Sunday sermons on the weeks readings.

Get ready now for the journey through the New Testament. If you do not have a Bible, ask for one for Christmas. If you can not get a Bible, let me know and I will help you get one.

I am new at this blogging scene, so please be patient and feel free to offer guidance and suggestions.

Bill, This is such a great idea! Is it possible to post the Scriptures by the month or more? I can't wait to see what plans God has in store for our journey into 2008! What an exciting time!
God bless and keep posting! Crystal

I'm so excited about this! I've found myself (and Johnny) churchless for the time being and I think this will help fill a void. (Johnny has his VeggieTales -- they don't work for adults nearly as well as the do for toddlers!)

Pastor, The Lord has been leading us in the same direction as He is leading you. He has laid upon our hearts the importance of daily Bible study. What a great confirmation. We look forward to joining in some discussion groups. If you ever want to meet in the West Leyden/
Ava area our door is open.

We are ready when you are, Pastor - our eyes, ears and hearts are open to receive the Word. Lead us. Teach us. Guide us. I pray that the Holy Spirit continues to bless you as you take us on this new journey. We love you.

Yay - awesome! I'm going to link to you on my blog. I've started a little blogroll on my page of all the NCNY bloggers (which is growing!) Maybe I can get Sharon to do an article or something?!

We are a week away from starting this adventure. I am trying to get our daily scripture read on our local radio station, and we will also get our Sunday sermon streaming over the internet by the first week of January.

More information soon!
